Back in 1998, I wanted an online reference database of embroidery stitches. Then, in 2000, when I moved from Southern California to New Jersey database expanded into a site that would also include vintage embroidery designs which users could download for free. Thanks to the talents of my husband, whose career began in graphic design but had settled in computer programming, I soon had an actual site to work with. Needlecrafter.com came into being.
Unfortunately, Life offered a plethora of demands and distractions which left the site neglected for a long time. But now we're in the process of upgrading and expanding Needlecrafter into something we hope will become a community endeavor and a source of constant inspiration for all types of embroidery and skill levels.
